Bridging a cultural divide and establishing credibility with multi-lingual video and audio...

Based near Barcelona, Actors Space they provide training for professional actors, directors, writers and camera operators. Although their students are mainly English, they frequently recruit tutors, suppliers and some students from Spain - yet it's very important to show respect for the local language - Catalan.

The solution: Red Ferry’s multi-lingual Players engage website visitors in a language they choose, without having to translate the entire site.

Red Ferry designed and built a tri-lingual Multimedia Player using client supplied video. The Player combined audio, video and images. Additionally the calls to action also varied: the English channel gave a multiple-choice to further web content; Spanish and Catalan channels opened .pdf documents with specific text-based information in the relevant language.
